Titan Wealth Brand Ambassador, Richard Mansell, has qualified for the 124th US Open Championship to be played at the iconic Pinehurst No.2. commencing on June 13th. Mansell will be making his second appearance in the Championship following a successful qualification event at Walton Heath, Surrey.
Beginning his campaign on the New Course, Mansell swiftly got into gear with an opening birdie on the 1st hole of the day. Further birdies followed at holes 3, 8 and 9 resulting in reaching the turn at an impressive -4. Three further birdies followed on the back 9 for a blemish free 65 in the morning session.
Venturing to Walton Heath’s Old Course in the afternoon, Mansell continued in the same vein, carding a final round 69 for a total score to par of -10 and in the process booking his place in the field in North Carolina by virtue of a T1 finish.
Following his round, Mansell commented ‘I am obviously thrilled to have qualified, I am looking forward to competing and would like to thank the team at Titan Wealth for their support so far this year’.
